AGEISS Mentors IDEALS under the Army and DoD Mentor Protégé Program

AGEISS, our protégé IDEALS, and New Mexico State University are beginning work under a 3-year agreement approved by DoD and the Army Office of Small Business Programs. Under the agreement, the AGEISS Team will assist IDEALS in developing encroachment management tools for military installations. Encroachment is a persistent issue as each new generation of warfighter technology and tactics demands more space for testing and training.

AGEISS and NMSU will assist IDEALS to:

  • Become expert in decision analysis support methodology and technologies
  • Gain geospatial and data analysis technical capability
  • Learn the DoD land management challenges from a headquarters-to-installation view
  • Be prepared to advance DoD’s objectives for the next Base Realignment and Closure
  • Have the ability to support decisions on future land purchases and conservation efforts
