As a subcontractor to Lynker Technologies, AGEISS provides technical support services to the NOAA National Ocean Service Center for Operational Oceanographic Products and Services. We assist with oceanographic and meteorological data collection, quality control, processing, analysis, and dissemination for more than 200 operating stations throughout the United States and its possessions.
Less than a year in, AGEISS staff received Director’s Awards for their outstanding performance. One award was for professional excellence in facilitating interagency cooperation to meet NOAA data standards. Another recognized scientific and engineering achievement in improving data quality. Timely, accurate data and predictions improve the safety of marine navigation and benefit commercial enterprises affected by sea level trends, currents, tides, harmful algal blooms, etc. We’re proud that our staff are making a difference for NOAA and the many industries that rely on NOAA’s data systems.
